What did you do on the ends? It looks great! I tried it on my daughter but I can't figure out how to do the ends nicely. I could never get the yarn to burn nicely.
I braided a little longer than the length I wanted, then I took a BBQ lighter, held the braid out towards me and let the flame actually "cut" the braid at the length I wanted. This made the tips form more into spike like ends.
Do you usually cut then burn?
Sue p.s. If I didn't explain it right let me know..lol
Hi Sue, I'm starting to think that maybe I didn't use the right type of yarn because when I tried burning the ends, it didn't melt together like that. I think I'll try a different kind.
The yarn I used from Wal-Mart was Bernat Satin - it's SUPER SOFT! I doesn't say synthetic though. I know the recommended type is synthetic because it doesn't dry the hair.. but I have been using a mixture of olive oil, water and conditioner to spray & saturate her hair and braids with...so far so good!
To know me is to know my infinite passion for my family. I enjoy being a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend and a daughter. I take time to enjoy the many blessings I have been given to the fullest. I appreciate all the great people that surround me. My life is my journey of miracles and of dreams come true.
